Social Engineering Bill In Senate Will Force You Into City

September 10, 2010 by Bob Livingston

Social Engineering Bill In Senate Will Force You Into CityA social engineering bill to restrict residence in the suburbs and rural areas and force Americans into city centers has passed the United States Senate Banking Committee and is on the fast track to passage in the Senate.

The bill is called the Livable Communities Act (SB 1619) and it was introduced by corruptocrat outgoing Senator Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.). It seeks to fulfill the United Nation’s plan Agenda 21, adopted at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 and signed onto by “New World Order” President George H.W. Bush.

This bill is designed to destroy your community. According to the non-profit American Policy Center the bill:

  • Is a blueprint for the transformation of our society into total Federal control.
  • Will enforce Federal Sustainable Development zoning and control of local communities.
  • Will create a massive new “development” bureaucracy.
  • Will drive up the cost of energy to heat and cool your home.
  • Will drive up the cost of gasoline as a way to get you out of your car.
  • Will force you to spend thousands of dollars on your home in order to comply.

A carrot and stick policy will be used to get your local government to sign on. The carrot is billions of dollars in grants available if your local government agrees to amend zoning laws that restrict housing in outlying areas, forcing people to give up their homes and land and move into the city center.

The stick will be denial of the funds and bad publicity generated by “Green” organizations criticizing government officials for turning down free money.

The rub is the grants will come with strings attached that force local governments to bend to the will of the Feds.

  1. UN Millenium Papers states in The Future of Local Agenda 21in the New Millenium:

“Participating in a UN-advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy-fixated groups and individuals in our society such as the National Rifle Association, citizen militias and some members of Congress. This segment of our society who fear ‘one-world government’ and a UN invasion of the United States through which our individual freedom would be stripped away would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined ‘the conspiracy’ by undertaking LA21. So, we call our process something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management, or SMART GROWTH.”

  2. This is absolute insanity. Housing and planning are supposed to be done at the LOCAL level and based on need and demand.. not some lunatic ideology of progressives in the Federal Government.

The states need to take back CONTROL which makes we, the people have more control over what is going on.

  3. Apt comments.

@wheresmyusa, at the “progressive” Fighting Bob Fest, a convention of Madison, Wisconsin area Marxists and usefuls (about 6,000 in attendance) the term I heard was simply “global governance.”

  4. Please contact your two Senators today and tell them to oppose Dodd’s SB1619.

The American Policy Center asks us to do this:

    1. Call Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and demand that he lead Senate Republicans in opposition to S.1619. Tell him this bill will destroy local community decisions and enforce massive federal control over our communities.

It is vital that Senate Republicans stand firm against S.1619. They must feel your heat! Call Senator McConnell – early and often. His office # is: 202-224-3135. His fax # is: 202-224-2574.

Or write to him to demand that he take action to stop S.1619. McConnell’s address is:
S-230 Capitol Building, Washington. DC 20510-7010.

    2. Call Senator John Thune, chairman of the Republican Senate Policy Committee.
Thune’s committee sets Republican policy for all senators. He must feel our heat in opposition to S.1619!!!

    Senator Thune’s Republican Policy Committee # is 202-224-2946. Fax # 202-224-1235. Email: mailbox@rpc.senate.gov.

    Address: Senate Republican Policy Committee
SR-347 Russell Senate Office Building, Washington, DC 20510-7064.

    3. Call your state’s two U.S. Senators and demand they vote against S.1619. Senate switchboard: (202) 224-3121. Ask for your Senators by name.??It is vital to the liberty of America that S.1619 be stopped. It is the first bill to enforce Sustainable Development through federal legislation.

    We can stop it…

We must flood Capitol Hill with calls and letters NOW. A vote can come up any time, and without our strong opposition S.1619 will breeze to passage.

    Take the above action NOW!

Please pass this message on to your friends and neighbors and ask them to call too.

For more information on Sustainable Development and Agenda 21 go to the American Policy Center website: http://www.americanpolicy.org. APC has been a leader in the fight to expose and stop Agenda 21 and its policy called Sustainable Development.

  5. Ever wonder why Russians in the old USSR, and Chinese in commie China live in ugly, tiny, crowded apartments stacked up like chicken coops? Why…the better to control you with, my dear. Plant a mole or two in the manager’s apartment and elsewhere in the building, and they listen to all you say and do, then report back to the government.

  6. Identifying building, siting, transportation and economic elements that together make urban environments “livable”–and understanding how they interact effectively (or not)–is certainly prudent, even commendable. Using the lure of federal tax dollars (“free money”, anyone?) to entice communities to favor public transit and bicycles over private motor transportation, to force developers to build “workforce housing” where economics do not support it, and to promote (i.e., subsidize or incentivize) “neighborhood retail” where residential densities cannot sustain it–that’s going too far.

Why is there no responsible voice between the extremes, making the case for livability (assuming a reasonably consensus definition) with a long-term expectation of popular acceptance–as occurred with women’s suffrage, child labor and food industry safety–rather than forcing it on people without any attempt at “friendly persuasion”?

    • I appreciate your references. What you describe is what we mean by “augmenting” and it is similar to what is being done with unions, today in America, especially public unions. However, I’m not getting your reference to a pro-Obama, pro-union hack.

  7. Do you have a spam issue on this website; I also am a
blogger, and I was wondering your situation; many of us have created some nice methods and we are
looking to exchange strategies with others, why not shoot
    me an email if interested.

  8. You can’t find any other support that’s as quick to respond as
both of these plumber training courses are also available, windshield urethane on
a larger scale, for commercial installations.
