This should be “all anyone needs to know,” as a reminder to do one’s civic duty, to make sure Mitt Romney does not become United States President.
Time is fleeting, so instead of regurgitating context and commentary, we will show this article on the same, in MailOnline (h/t: @OhSuzyQz) and…
George Soros says there ‘isn’t all that much difference’ between Romney and Obama

This isn’t exactly the kind of endorsement the Romney campaign is looking for. It’s probably even less welcome than the purported nod for Newt Gingrich from crooked GOP congressman Randy ‘Duke’ Cunningham sent from his jail cell.
Speaking in Davos, gathering place for the global elites and upscale chattering classes, billionaire investor George Soros – loathed by conservative activists for his ‘zillion-dollar left-wing radical agenda machine’ – seemed to be pretty much OK with the notion of a Romney presidency.
‘Well, look, either you’ll have an extremist conservative, be it Gingrich or Santorum, in which case I think it will make a big difference which of the two comes in,’ he told Chrystia Freeland of Reuters in a videotaped interview. ‘If it’s between Obama and Romney, there isn’t all that much difference except for the crowd that they bring with them.’
…we fervently suggest clicking on the tags below for “Mitt Romney,” “George Soros,” and “failed state strategy.”
Update, January 30
Newt Gingrich caught wind of this pronouncement by the Mouth of Soros (a.k.a., The Puppetmaster, or by the attribution he’s given himself, “god”). His response is found in the subsequent post “Newt Gingrich: Soros is Right, I am the Real Threat.”
Romney is Obama Lite. If Romney wins the GOP nomination, conservatives might as well stay home and let Obama get elected. Romney should drop out of the race. He screwed up the GOP primary in 2008 and he is screwing it up in 2012. Hucabee should have won in 2008, not Romney or McCain. Gingrich should win in 2012. Perhaps Santorum will drop out and endorse Gingrich and the conservative vote will no longer be split. Then conservatives can get fully behind one candidate and defeat Obama and Obama Lite. Personally, I would prefer Ron Paul, but he just isn’t getting the numbers needed to win.
Well said from top to bottom, o King. I am not so kind to Romney, however. Surely he must know those with whom he does business.
actually , Santorum is most like Obama . Rick Santorum steel tariff agitator, pro big union, pro Davis Bacon who even blocked right to work! He backed every expanding entitlement and bloated budgets. Medicare prescription-drug benefit, No Child left behind and the bridge to nowhere. In 1994 He supported mandatory HC ins coverage by individuals and no employer HC benefits . Santorum even voted against VOLUNTARY e-verify! How much hypocrisy can Santorum spew? He just lies about everything just like OBAMA . He wants the sex police to roost in your bedroom so that makes him the true conservative . He refused to pass Tort reform , Voter ID , refused to close the Dept of ED . He refused to cut EPA and Energy job killing mandates . Big ethanol and other subsidies .
If Romney is the nominee, I will not cast a vote for president in NOV. There is no way I will vote for him! I agree with the king… Romney is Obama-lite!
You and me both, Kay.
Gingrich isn’t the answer, either.
How do you know, BS84? Talked with him lately?
Because I’m not stupid. if we elect Romney, Santorum or Gingrich we will get a continuation of 0bama
s policies.
I disagree, I think Gingrich will be his own man. He’s not going to WANT to follow their lousy policies because he will want to stay there two terms. He may be a bit too much of a maverick for some, but at least he can balance a checkbook…even the country’s as he has doen. He’s the best bet of all running. And most certainly the most intelligent.
