Most times we learn that big noisy events are merely cover for the sinister destruction of very important aspects of what it means to be America. I’m talking about evil, immoral, vile and disgusting quashing of liberty. But this is often difficult to explain to those who are mesmerized by the shiny, blinding lights of a media beating the drum so loud that we can’t even think, much less recognize those whose only aim is our complete annihilation.
I hope this little example will illustrate the deliberate, intentional, cultural revolution that is aimed at wiping the Judeo/Christian ethical system and the God who gave it to us off the face of the earth.
Reported at The Center for Military Readiness:
Simulated Same-Sex Marriage Memos Circumvent DOMA
Twenty-four hours after final repeal of the 1993 law usually called “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” on September 20, Defense Department officials revealed their true intent regarding same-sex marriage in the military. In two policy memoranda, the Pentagon authorized the use of military facilities for “private ceremonies,” and the option for chaplains to conduct those “functions” without official endorsement by the Defense Department.
Unlike an April 13 Navy memo on the same subject that sparked enormous controversy, the two recent memos, signed by DoD General Counsel Jeh C. Johnson and Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Dr. Clifford L. Stanley, omitted the word “marriage.” In effect, the Johnson/Stanley memos are trying to slip through major change by denying that the “ceremonies” referred to in their memos are subject to the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
These are the same officials who promised Congress that the Defense Department would comply with the DOMA, which defines marriage as the bond between one man and one woman. That was before the administration decided to stop defending the DOMA in court in February 2011. In August, the Justice Department went even further, attacking the DOMA and asking a federal court to declare the law unconstitutional.
This demonstrates a deliberate, step-by-step, intentional (and I might add deceitful, as each forward step was accompanied with assurances that the goal was not what the goal obviously was) campaign to alter the American cultural norms and values by fiat, legislation and subterfuge. As one Huffpo blogger who heartily agrees with this march to depravity puts it:
The good news is that with DADT’s demise, there remains only one federal law that overtly discriminates against people based on their sexual orientation – the misnamed Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Like DADT, DOMA, too, will eventually be remembered as an unfortunate, discriminatory historical footnote on the long march to equal citizenship for gay men and lesbians.
Indeed, DADT repeal and the ability of gay men and lesbians, as well as those who are bisexual, to serve their country openly and honestly will, in my opinion, be remembered by history as a critical turning point in the realization of equal citizenship. The military is one of the most revered institutions in our country, and the elimination of the military’s mandated closet will only serve to speed the process of overall public acceptance of LGBT people and a continued rejection of the discriminatory policies of the past. Having visible gay and lesbian soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines is incredibly meaningful and important…
The enemies of morality aren’t finished yet. Their gods of self and the flesh are not yet satisfied.
The only question remaining is what are you going to do about what is being done to America?
