More sabotage, this by default, from the Marxist mole president
Alaska not consulted

It appears Congress had nothing to do with this 7-island giveaway with tens of thousands of square miles of oil-rich seabeds. The Department of the Interior says these islands are a source of billions of barrels of oil. Our president and the State Department can just give away American sovereign land – Alaskan land. A story like this leaves me speechless. I’ll let Joe Miller, a former US Senate candidate from Alaska, do the talking: (see an important update below)
Part of Obama’s apparent war against U.S. energy independence includes a foreign-aid program that directly threatens my state’s sovereign territory. Obama’s State Department is giving away seven strategic, resource-laden Alaskan islands to the Russians. Yes, to the Putin regime in the Kremlin.
The seven endangered islands in the Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea include one the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined. The Russians are also to get the tens of thousands of square miles of oil-rich seabeds surrounding the islands. The Department of Interior estimates billions of barrels of oil are at stake.
The State Department has undertaken the giveaway in the guise of a maritime boundary agreement between Alaska and Siberia. Astoundingly, our federal government itself drew the line to put these seven Alaskan islands on the Russian side. But as an executive agreement, it could be reversed with the stroke of a pen by President Obama or Secretary Clinton.
The agreement was negotiated in total secrecy. The state of Alaska was not allowed to participate in the negotiations, nor was the public given any opportunity for comment. This is despite the fact the Alaska Legislature has passed resolutions of opposition – but the State Department doesn’t seem to care.
The imperiled Arctic Ocean islands include Wrangell, Bennett, Jeannette and Henrietta. Wrangell became American in 1881 with the landing of the U.S. Revenue Marine ship Thomas Corwin. The landing party included the famed naturalist John Muir. It is 3,000 square miles in size.
Northwest of Wrangell are the DeLong Islands, named for George Washington DeLong, the captain of USS Jeannette. Also in 1881, he discovered and claimed these three islands for the United States. He named them for the voyage co-sponsor, New York City newspaper publisher James Gordon Bennett. The ship’s crew received a hero’s welcome back in Washington, and Congress awarded them gold medals.
In the Bering Sea at the far west end of the Aleutian chain are Copper Island, Sea Lion Rock and Sea Otter Rock. They were ceded to the U.S. in Seward’s 1867 treaty with Russia.
The State Department’s maritime agreement is a loser – it gives us nothing in return for giving up Alaska’s sovereign territory and invaluable resources. We won the Cold War and should start acting like it.
UPDATE 2-19-12 @ 9:18 a.m. CDT: The longer story is that this covert mission began under G.H.W. Bush, but the thing to remember is that not he, nor any president following made the giveaway reality. Reader Sheri left a link to another WND report dated May 2000. Here’s a snippet:
The tranfer would have gone unnoticed were it not for State Department Watch, a Washington-based group that monitors State Department acitivities.
Retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Carl Olson, who heads State Department Watch, recently checked with the Census Bureau, asking if it had plans to count the inhabitants of these disputed islands in the current census.
Olson was stunned by the response he received from the Census Bureau.
“Census Bureau officials were informed by the U.S. Department of State that these islands remain under the jurisdiction of Russia,” wrote Kenneth Prewitt, director of the Census Bureau in a letter to Olson.
“Without confirmation and appropriate documentation from the Department of State to the contrary, the Census Bureau cannot include these islands as part of the State of Alaska,” Prewitt concluded.
Americans Become Russians
Olson notes that the Census Bureau, with the approval of the State Dept., has just stripped Americans of their citizenship.
Consider the inhabitants of Wrangell Island, the largest of eight disputed islands – five lying in the Arctic Ocean and three in the Bering Sea.
Geographically speaking, the island’s inhabitants would also be citizens of the state of Alaska since no other American state comes even close to the proximity of the islands.
But if anyone desired to visit Wrangell Island, they would be greeted not by the Stars and Stripes waving proudly in the brisk air but by a Russian military tower.
According to Olson, the islands including Wrangell have 18 Russian soldiers and one officer and 50 to 100 inhabitants.
Olson insists these people have been made to endure foreign occupation by the Russian military and believes the U.S. government should do something about taking the islands back.
NewsMax.com contacted Mark Seidenberg, a former senior traffic management specialist within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and asked him if he believed the United States should pursue its sovereignty on the islands. Seidenberg, without hesitation, said “yes.”
The article linked above says after Congress ratified the Maritime Boundary Treaty, Russia did not sign it. At that time, the industry was up-in-arms. American fisherman did not want to lose their right to the waters in the area. Russians didn’t care.
Nevertheless, former U.S. Secretary of State Jim Baker and the Soviet Union’s Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze signed a secretive executive agreement the year before that bound both governments to the treaty. [“Executive Agreement!”]
Currently, Russia is demanding hundreds of millions of pounds more fishing rights from the United States that would undermine the Alaskan fish industry and, subsequently, the state’s economy.
A wealth of petroleum and natural gas hang in the balance as well.
Again, this is 2000:
Even though now recognizing Russian jurisdiction over the islands, the State Department had testified at the June 13, 1991, treaty hearing that the maritime boundary agreement “does not recognize Soviet sovereignty over these [five Arctic] islands.”

The Deepwater Horizon -related giveaways to George Soros, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, etc.
The Keystone Pipeline diversion for Warren Buffett, George Soros, and China.
Just two of the previous thieve-aways. The Leninist escalation of debt is simply another massive sabotage, while while through the interest and debauchery, the globalist central bank financiers skim off our depleting wealth.
Now, this.
How can anyone explain the Obama regime, but that they are Marxist, globalist saboteurs of the sovereign United States of America?
Hi.
Although i’m usually among the first to proclaim the horrible score of the Obama administration, it seems that those island were never officially claimed by the U.S. Government.
So you might say it’s not theirs to ‘give’ away.
“None of the islands or rocks above were included in the U.S. purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867, and they have never been claimed by the United States, although Americans were involved in the discovery and exploration of some of them.”
http://2001-2009.state.gov/p/eur/rls/fs/20922.htm
This territory was either in the Seward deal, or was discovered and claimed by the United States of America afterward, in 1881, from Joe Miller, as quoted above:
Primary sources would help credibility.
Earl, hello. Well, we have Joe Miller and WorldNetDaily.
You aren’t referring to the Frankfurt school Marxist manipulated/controlled media, are you? ;-> The ones that were apparently told not to allow stories on Obama’s apparent ineligibility, in 2008 and 2009, but instead, to ridicule those who raised such constitutional concerns?
As this story says, this act is supposed to be quashed.
Are they just stupid or what?? Our government officials seem to be talking one thing and doing another. We as Americans are expecting to have to pay in excess of $4.00 per gallon of gas. What the hell?? Our economy in America can be boosted up if we would just use the resources we have in our control and at our fingertips. America should not have to depend on any other country for anything!!
If the powers that be cannot claim rights to these islands, what is all the hoopla about? Do we or don’t we own these islands? If we do, why would we just give them to some other country? With the Middle East being in such turmoil, a better course of action would be to reduce our dependency on their stupid oil.
I might add that Gulag Bound does not claim that the Bush family, with strong globalist/NWO tendencies and fascist-friendly Prescott Bush in the earlier mix, is above either scrutiny or reproach in this matter.
The secrecy with which this has been carried out recalls subversive Bush negotiations for North American Integration and the linkages between that family and the heavily globalist-bankster influence of BIS.
This story has been on this site at least 4 times over many years, and problem is, it’s mostly FALSE.
WND started the problem with a spelling error, mistaking the 1 square mile island of Wrangel, a few miles from Siberia, for the much larger and clearly Alaskan Island of Wrangell, just South of Juneau. They compound the error, by failing to research anything, like the fact that the US never claimed the De Long lslands in question, and the Supreme Court of Alaska has found they are NOT US or Alaska territory. How about you folks wake up and stop the panic.
First there are 3 Wrangell Islands in the State of Alaska. The spelling of all three were set in 1901 by the United States Board of Geographic Name.
In was on August 12, 1881, that 3rd Lt. William Edward Reynolds, USRM, lead a landing party from the United States Revenue Marine Steamer THOMAS CORWIN on New Columbia Land (known since 1901 as Wrangell Island, by a resolution of the United States Board of Geographic Names) an annexed the land in the name of President James Garfield at the mouth of the Clark River. Reynolds was under sua sponte orders to do the annexation by Captain Calvin Hooper, USRM (who at the time was the de facto governor of Alaska), based on formal letters between the Secretary of War and the Secretary of the Treasury of 17 & 24 March 1877. [Reynolds retired from the Coast Guard as a Rear Admiral in 1924]
On May 17, 1884, Major Ezra W. Clark, Chief, United States Revenue Marine placed Wrangell Island in the District of Alaska. by filing documentation in a cedar chest in his office in Washington, D.C. Major Clark was a lawyer with the Treasury Department and he wanted Civil Government extended to Wrangell Island. Clark was a drafter of the Act of May 17, 1884, the First Alaska Organic Act.
There were under the Act of May 17, 1884 two types of land in Alaska, viz., Treaty Lands from Russia and lands the Russian did not cede, but were declared “known as Alaska” such as Wrangell Island of the Polar Sea. Major Clark moved to Alaska in 1898 and stayed until 1913. The Clark River on Wrangell Island was named after Ezra W. Clark in his honor.
On April 1, 1924, the Lomen Brothers Company of Nome, AK were the owners of the whole Island. On May 13, 1924, Carl Lomen met with Secretary of State Charles Evans Hughes at the Embassy of Norway. Hughes told Lomen at Soviet Russia has no claim to Wrangell Island under International Law and his firm should to continue to hold the island.
On August 20 – 26, 1924, the Soviet Navy invades the United States, raise the Red Flag of the Soviet Union and commits acts of piracy on the island, by kidnapping 14 persons, viz., Charles Wells (formerly of Uniontown. PA) a US Citizen and 13 Alaskan Eskimos (which Secretary of State Charles Evans Hughes, stated were non-citizen “Wards of the United States Government”.).
90 years to the day, Putin has a Captain of the Russian Pacific Fleet land on Wrangell Island in the Polar Sea and raise the Russian Fleet Flag over Wrangell Island to honor the acts of piracy the Soviet Navy committed 90 years before on Wrangell Island, Alaska. Putin also ordered constructed two bases on the Island, viz., one naval and the other military shaped like at star shape fort.
Oh Dear Me..This can’t be true..Because mamma grizzly pain wouldn’t allow it..How come her an FUXNews ain’t all over this?..
Look for facts people:

This is just another sub-plot to the treasonous Obama’s war on America
AFAIK, the only island inhabited is Wrangel island, and that has been in the physical possession of Russia for many decades.
It had 3x ‘Gulags’ during and after WW2 and it was especially established to house any German in an SS uniform. NONE survived. Supposedly Roall Wallenburg was there too, and in fact died there, or so the rumour goes.
As for oil and its extraction, I doubt any would be enforceable, not without WW3 anyway! as the ‘Rocks’ are a short swim from major Russian islands. and well inside her 200 km economic zone. The others are far west of any US Territory, off the North Siberian coast.
This arrangement is simply accepting the reality of the geography of the situation.
