What’s So Great About Heterosexuality?

“When I joined the military it was illegal to be homosexual, then it became optional.
I’m getting out before Obama makes it mandatory.”

GySgt Harry Berres, USMC

“Heterosexuality is not normal, it’s just common.”
Dorothy Parker

–  G u l a g  –  B o u n d  –

Parker’s comment is emblematic of the snobbish sarcasm that has historically passed for humor among liberal elites.  At the same time, it’s blasé dismissal of heterosexuality, is profound in its implications.

Ms. Parker’s comment underlines two liberal talking points:

  1. heterosexuality is only considered “normal,” because it has been forced upon society by a patriarchal hegemony, and
  2. even if it is normal, it is mainly for the entertainment of the hoi polloi, the common folk, the bourgeoisie, the déclassé rabble.

While vices such as greed, perversion, and dishonesty are largely given a pass by liberals, masculine virtues such as honor, integrity, and clarity, are given short shrift.  Feminine virtues are summarily dismissed, as being retardataire and repressive.  (Link)

American men have been “wussified,” as our women have been “masculinized.” On the surface this may appear to be the result of a laudable egalitarian agenda (that is certainly what the Far Left wishes us to believe), but in reality it is part of the Far Left’s social-engineering plan to destroy the family unit, and replace it with the state.  More about that in a bit. (Link)

Concerning liberals, Ann Coulter once observed, “Our gays are more macho than their straights,” to which I would add, “and so are our women!”

No doubt that’s one reason for “humorist”  David Letterman’s vicious attacks on Sarah Palin—deep down inside, he knows she would kick his butt, with one arm tied behind her back.  (And, she’d do it between changing Trig’s diaper, going fishing with Todd, giving a stump speech, and lecturing her daughter Bristol about cads and bounders).  (Link)

No wonder the Left hates her so.  Palin has put the lie to all of the women’s lib balderdash.  She has achieved, as a conservative woman, what liberals have been assuring us for decades, can only be achieved via the liberal route.

Ever since reading George Gilder’s “Sexual Suicide” in the early-70s, I’ve cast a somewhat jaundiced eye on the “sexual revolution.”

Egalitarian principals may look fine and good on paper, but when force-fed, misapplied, and taken to extremes, they can, and do, create social confusion.  Trying to mandate that the abnormal become the norm, is indeed, social suicide. (Link)

That is not to say that I advocate a return en masse to pre-sexual revolution attitudes and mores.  Such a thing would not be possible, even if desired.  (Link)

I do, however, believe that a reappraisal of, and appreciation for, gender roles is in order, as well as a renewed focus on personal responsibility, civility, and integrity.

In the nature vs. nurture debate, the pendulum has been stuck in the “nurture” position for far too long.  It is way past time to admit that as social creatures, we are the product of both our environment, AND our biology.

The insanity of trying to ignore our biological heritage must stop.  There ARE differences between the sexes—biological, emotional, and mental.  We need to stop sweeping them under the rug, and pretending that they don’t exist.  (Link)

Just to take one example: females are born with a built-in job description—mother.  Males are not born with this natural option—in many cases, their job defines who they are.  That disparity makes a huge difference in how one looks at their occupation.  (Link)

This, and numerous other issues are blithely ignored by liberal social engineers, who go about the business of forcing square pegs into round holes, oblivious to the damage they do. (Link)

There will always be exceptions to the rule, but that doesn’t negate the need for the rule—gender roles that most people can identity with, most of the time. (Link)

To equate sexual equality with a bland uniformity, is asinine.  Society needs gender roles.  Although these roles are somewhat malleable, they are not dispensable, and ignoring the natural order, results in social chaos. (Link)

Follow any Far Left thread back through its Byzantine journey to its source, and you’ll find its roots sunk in materialistic nihilism—sans mercy, morality, or sense.  All Far Left roads lead there eventually.  The “sexual revolution” is no exception. (Link)

Heterosexuals make up from 90% to 99% of the population, depending on who you ask.  The gays and liberals, of course, inflate the number of gays in our society, as those opposed to the gay agenda, minimize the number.  I believe that a heterosexual median of around 95%, is fair to both sides (which means neither side will be happy with it).  (Link) (Link)

Which begs the question—why is 95% of the population being held hostage by the sexual preferences of the other 5%?  Why have “straights”  been force-fed a steady diet of pro-gay propaganda by the Far Left, via their mouthpieces in the liberal press, entertainment industry, and other media outlets?  (Link)

For almost half-a-century, America has been under a non-stop assault from in-your-face homosexual advocates, to shrewish haradins, who are not merely anti-heterosexuality, but anti-male.  (I suppose they’re a step up from the misanthropic environmental extremists, who hate ALL of humanity, but still…).  (Link)

These attacks on the sanctity of the family, can be traced backed to the French Revolution, and the assaults of the brutal Jacobins.  Such attacks can be traced even further back, to ancient Greece, and the Sophists.  (Link) (Link)

Dr. Benjamin Wiker rightly calls Aristotle (384 BC—322 BC) “the father of political conservatism.”  Wiker notes that “conservatism is a perennial political philosophy, and its founding text is Aristotle’s ‘Politics.’”  (Link)

Aristotle believed, and taught, that the starting point of society (and hence, politics) is the natural union of male and female, and it’s natural outcome, the family.  This natural order is ignored at our peril.  Our “unalienable rights” rest on this natural order, these “Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God.”  (Link) and (Link)

Whether you call it God’s order, Nature’s order, the Tao, or whatever—a stable society depends on a healthy tension between harmonic opposites.  It is no coincidence that the two symbols that comprise the Yin/Yang, are representative of the masculine and feminine attributes.

Respect and celebrate your sex, male or female, and celebrate and respect the opposite sex as well.  The self-reflective narcissism of gay sex, is ultimately a sterile dead end.  (Link)

The Far Left (especially Alinsky acolytes), promotes the gay agenda for nefarious reasons—mainly to destroy the family unit, and increase government control over us. In addition, they and the NWO folks, have a penchant for population control, which the gay agenda, for obvious reasons, helps to further.                (Link)

What these power hungry social engineers plan on doing with gene-splicing, cloning, and the like, is no doubt the stuff of nightmares.  (Link)

Being pro-heterosexuality is not, (as the politically correct thought-police would have it), the same thing as being homophobic.  (Link) and (Link)

Nonetheless, because I am pro-heterosexuality I am, according to the thought-police, ipso facto a homophobe.  I am also, automatically, a sexist. (Link)

In addition, because I oppose the Ground Zero mosque, I’m an Islamaphobe, and because I oppose Obama’s socialist agenda, I’m a racist.  (Link)

Well, this homophobic, sexist, Islamaphobic, racist, says (and I’ll say this slowly, and annunciate it clearly, so there will be no mistaking me):  “F—k political correctness, and the Marxist horse it rode in on!”  (Link)

Political correctness is, unfortunately, not only a left-wing gambit—the right-wing has been complicit in promoting this insidious poison, by kow-towing to the Left’s political correctness agenda.  (Link)

(These days, I find myself sounding more and more like some cranky fusion of Tiny Tim and Ebenezar Scrooge, crying ” Screw ‘em all, every one!”)

Enough is enough.  Let’s recognize the slurs thrown at us by the thought-police, for the puerile attempts at character assassination that they are.  Let’s call out political correctness, as the free-speech-muzzling indoctrination tool that it is. (Link)

Heterosexuality, of course, comes with its own set of baggage and problems, and the fact that the liberals have dumbed-down, spun-around, and twisted, society as a whole, hasn’t helped things. (Link)

For example, instead of being taught the positives virtues of integrity, restraint, and loyalty,  we’ve been bombarded with the glamour and easy allure of licentiousness, greed, and hedonism.  Instead of being concerned with what we “bring to the table” in a relationship, we’ve been taught to focus on “what’s in it for me?”

Keep in mind that the Far Left/NWO globalists not only control the media, academia, and the entertainment industry, but they also control the purse strings to most of the world’s largest philanthropic institutions—such as the Ford Foundation, the Annenberg Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Tides Foundation, etc. (Link)

Throw in the individual contributions by anti-capitalist capitalists, such as George Soros, and Maurice Strong, and you have quite a “war chest” to fund political correctness, and anti-heterosexual propaganda.  We can see the results of their long-term, persistent assault, all around us. (Link)

That the natural order of heterosexuality should require any defending at all, is an indication of how successful they have been.

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”  (Eph. 5:15 NKJV) (Link)

Born in June of 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jim O’Neill proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1970-1974 in both UDT-21 (Underwater Demolition Team) and SEAL Team Two.  A member of MENSA, he worked as a commercial diver in the waters off Scotland, India, and the United States. In 1998 while attending the University of South Florida as a journalism student, O’Neill won “First Place” in the “Carol Burnett/University of Hawaii AEJMC Research in Journalism Ethics Award.”  The annual contest was set up by Carol Burnett with the money she won from successfully suing the National Enquirer for libel.

  1. Jim — it’s incorrect to say “the hoi polloi.” “Hoi” is “the.”
