A Few Evangelical Leaders Caving to Amnesty Thrust of Global Neo-Marxism

Dick, in this instance is Richard D. Land, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention.  He has run out of bounds and apparently does not hear the whistle.  He is supporting the “transnational progressives'”cynical and destructive policy for imposing a virtual open borders policy and the granting of amnesty to America’s multiple millions of illegal aliens.

And he is joined by Matthew Staver, of Liberty Counsel and the frequently leftist leaning Bill Hybels, of Willow Creek Community Church, in Illinois, the world’s leading proponent of “seeker sensitive” evangelical church services, this according to the New York Times article of July 18, 2010, “Obama Gains Evangelical Allies on Immigration.”

Among their reasons, one smells the cynicism by which reeks the strategy of the neo-Marxists dominating America’s Democratic Party.  Its name is numbers game.  Richard Land, from the article:

“I’ve had some older conservative leaders say: ‘Richard, stop this. You’re going to split the conservative coalition,’ ” Dr. Land continued. “I say it might split the old conservative coalition, but it won’t split the new one. And if the new one is going to be a governing coalition, it’s going to have to have a lot of Hispanics in it. And you don’t get a lot of Hispanics in your coalition by engaging in anti-Hispanic anti-immigration rhetoric.”

One is reminded of the judgment placed upon King David, for his being led by Satan to turn his face from following only God’s righteousness, to disobeying God, by taking a census (in effect, counting his early resources for taxation and military might).  That story is recorded in 1 Chronicles 21.
