DNC Chair, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) decided to chastise Congressman Allen West (R-FL) AFTER he spoke from the House floor and departed the Chamber. Wasserman-Schultz didn’t like West’s support of Cut, Cap and Balance, which incidentally passed the House this evening. Unbelievably, Wasserman Schultz’ spokesman said West was not upset with Wasserman Schultz, but with the fact that “the truth hurts.” Hmmmm. You are “the most vile, unprofessional, despicable member of the House,” and a coward to boot. I’d say he was talking to, and of, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and her character (including the lack of it).
“Incredulously, the gentleman from Florida. who represents thousands of Medicare beneficiaries, as do I, is supportive of this plan that would increase costs for Medicare beneficiaries,” she said, calling West’s approval of the plan “unbelievable from a member from South Florida.”
Debbie Wasserman Schultz
“Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional, and despicable member of the US House of Representatives.
“If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!”
“From this time forward, understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior… You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!” Signed: Steadfast and Loyal
West also said he would bring her “actions today to our majority leader and majority whip.” I’d like to hear why DWS does not support a balanced budget amendment. There is no excuse for that – no defending it. She also knows that no one on Medicare currently will be affected by the Entitlement changes, and she knows well that Obama’s health care bill has already cut $500 BILLION from Medicare. I’m betting there is more to this story.
